Focus: Corporate Collections

Focus: Corporate Collections spotlighted corporations supporting the arts through their collections and reflects on MOCA GA as an example of how corporate support made a difference in our cultural climate. The museum’s permanent collection started as the corporate collection of CGR Advisors. SunTrust then stepped in with a major sponsorship and the offer to open a second location for MOCA GA at SunTrust Plaza, enabling greater exposure of Georgia’s visual arts to the public and adding to downtown Atlanta’s cultural revitalization.
“The support of corporate collectors has an incredibly significant impact on Georgia art and artists,” stated MOCA GA President / CEO Annette Cone Skelton. “Curated from the collections of 14 of Atlanta’s most well-known companies and law firms, this exhibit includes well-known and otherwise important artists from Georgia and beyond.”
Collections from the following corporations are among those featured in this exhibition: Alston & Bird, Arnall Golden Gregory, CGR Advisors, The Coca-Cola Company, Federal Home Loan Bank Atlanta, Federal Reserve Bank, Jones Day, Kilpatrick Stockton, King & Spalding, McKenna Long & Aldridge, Powell Goldstein, Resurgens Orthopaedics, Troutman Sanders and John Wieland Homes and Neighborhoods.
