A New Chapter Begins at MOCA GA

As we move through an exciting and historic year, we are deeply grateful for the community that continues to champion MOCA GA’s mission. Thanks to your support, we have reached a major milestone: our staff has officially moved into our new home at 1260 Foster Street and is hard at work bringing the museum to life.

Throughout the spring and summer, teams have been settling into the building, preparing galleries, and installing exhibitions as we eagerly anticipate welcoming the public later this summer. What was once a vision is now becoming a vibrant cultural destination dedicated to contemporary art and the artists who shape our region.

Building Momentum

Our commitment to supporting Georgia artists remains stronger than ever. The Working Artist Project (WAP), now in its 20th year, continues to provide meaningful opportunities for artists to create, exhibit, and engage with the community. As we prepare to open the doors of our new museum, we look forward to expanding the reach and impact of programs like WAP while presenting ambitious exhibitions and educational experiences for audiences of all ages.

Preparing for Opening Day

Our new 26,000-square-foot museum, designed by Mack Scogin Merrill Elam Architects, represents a transformative investment in Atlanta’s cultural future. With installations underway and final preparations taking shape, every day brings us closer to welcoming visitors into a space designed to inspire creativity, foster dialogue, and celebrate contemporary art.
