We are now accepting applicants for Spring/Summer 2024 (Unpaid)

The MOCA GA Collections Department is looking for qualified interns/volunteers who can assist the staff with projects related to the organization and management of the Permanent Art Collection, Archives, and Library, including processing archival collections, cataloguing library collections and projects associated with the acquisition and installation of artworks.  Interns/volunteers will work closely with the Collections and Exhibition department to assist in completing these projects.

Requirements:

  • Student studying Museum Studies, Art History, Library Science, Digital Archives, or a related field (or post grad volunteer).
  • Is available to intern for 8-10 hours per week minimum.
  • Has excellent time-management and organizational skills.
  • Can work independently.
  • Comfortable with Word, Excel, digital scanning software and data entry.

Preferred:

  • Graduate Student or Junior/Senior pursuing a BA.
  • Museum/Gallery/Archives/Library experience.
  • Experience handling art and archives collections.
  • Experience scanning and using image technology.
  • Experience with museum software including Past Perfect.
