MOCA GA is pleased to present Lucinda, an exhibition of works from The MOCA GA Permanent Collection by 2018 Gala honoree Lucinda Bunnen. This exhibition will debut a recent new portfolio acquisition, Pond, as well as five new works from the Nicaragua Series.
About Lucinda Bunnen
Lucinda W. Bunnen is a photographer living in Atlanta. She has traveled worldwide to find subject matter for her work and has had numerous solo and group exhibitions throughout the Southeastern United States. Featured in numerous publications, Bunnen is also the co-author of three books: “Movers and Shakers in Georgia,” 1978, “Scoring in Heaven, Gravestones and Cemetery Art in The American Sunbelt States,” 1990 and “ALASKA Trails, Tales and Eccentric Detours,” 1992. In 1999, she had a 30-year retrospective at the Atlanta College of Art, which had an accompanying award-winning catalogue. Bunnen’s work can be found in numerous public collections, including the Museum of Modern Art, NY; the Whitney Museum of American Art, NY; the Pushkin Museum in Moscow, Russia; the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C., the National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington, D.C.; the Mint Museum in Charlotte, NC; the Chrysler Museum in Norfolk, VA and the High Museum in Atlanta, GA. Bunnen’s work is also included in MOCA GA’s permanent collection. Her work was most recently featured in the MOCA GA bi-annual group exhibition, Gathered III: Georgia Artists Selecting Georgia Artists, on view May 16, 2017 – July 1, 2017. Her work was also exhibited in a solo exhibition at MOCA GA entitled, Lucinda Bunnen: From Hatcher’s Pond, on view April 24 – July 3, 2010.
