ABOUT JUST PASSING THROUGH Three years ago I moved back to the United States after having lived abroad for 28 years. When I got here, I felt like I was looking thru a window from the outside, looking at a place so familiar but that I didn’t really know. I began a photographic journey. The where and when were random. I was on the road a lot, all the places seemed to connect, it was a collective experience of the familiar and unfamiliar. My camera is my studio, and my photos my words. 3 years. 19,000 photos. |

ABOUT CATHERINE WILMER Atlanta native Catherine Wilmer is a photographer and multi-media artist who splits her time between Atlanta, New York City, and Paris. Catherine earned a BFA degree at The New School / Parsons School of Design, shifting her focus from painting to photography in her last year. Catherine’s Black and White photos and installations have been shown in Paris and Atlanta. Previously, she had a two-man painting exhibitionThe Mind’s Eye at the Swan Coach House Gallery. Just Passing Through will be Catherine’s first solo museum exhibition of photos. |
