The Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia (MOCA GA) announces a new grant supporting free student tours from Turner Voices!

Turner Voices is funding student tours at MOCA GA from April 1 – December 31, 2018, making the arts more accessible for students in the area! In order to create an engaging and informative experience for our visitors, MOCA GA provides a trained docent to facilitate group tours. The experience of a docent-led tour is extremely different from a self-guided or individual visitation of the space, as docents are well versed in the exhibiting artists’ processes, materials, intentions, and more. Often, docents have had privileged interactions with living artists on view, meaning that they can instigate relative and stimulating conversation while delivering comprehensive facts.

Free admission applies to groups of eight or more students (K-12 or universities) with at least one chaperone for students under the age of 18. Tours must be scheduled at least two weeks in advance. Required chaperone-to-student ratios apply and vary by age. Not all exhibition content may be suitable for all ages. MOCA GA encourages chaperones and group leaders to visit prior to tour dates to assess, as exhibition content is not altered for tours. For additional details or to reserve your tour, please call MOCA GA at 404-367-8700 or email us at tours@mocaga.org.
