Wes Eastin earned his B.A. (2007) in Theater and Film from Georgia State University, (Atlanta, GA). Having been both crew and content producer, Eastin has extensive experience in the world of video and film production. He specializes in writing, editing, camera operation, grip/electric, DIT and strategy. Having grown up in Atlanta, GA, Eastin became a part of the film production and landscape development of the city through working with groups including Turner Broadcasting, CBS Sports, Georgia Public Broadcasting, and Care.
While in Atlanta, Eastin also took part in a variety of public art exhibitions with his frequent collaborator, Stefani Byrd. These works are a hybrid of video and performance art, intended to draw the viewer into interactive engagement. He has received grants and support from groups such as Creative Capital of New York, Flux Projects, the InLight Richmond Festival, Atlanta Celebrates Photography, and Idea Capital. Pieces of his collaborative works are held in the permanent collections of MOCA GA and the Columbus Museum of Art, Columbus, OH.
