Painter and political cartoonist Tom Ferguson (b.1944 in Marquette, MI) studied at the Layton School of Art in (Milwaukee, WI), received his B.S. from Northern Michigan University and his M.F.A. from Michigan State University. Ferguson has taught art at various schools over the years, including Spelman College, Atlanta College of Art, and Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta, as well as Northern Michigan University (Marquette, MI). His work can be found in numerous collections including the High Museum of Art (Atlanta, GA), the Albany Museum of Art (Albany, GA), the Institute of Art (Augusta, GA), the Heritage Center (Waycross, GA), and many others. Ferguson has also shown in multiple group and show exhibitions across the South.
