Steven J. Bliss is a Georgia photographer and educator. He earned his B.F.A. (1977) in Studio Art at the University of New Hampshire and his M.F.A. (1982) in Photography from Ohio University. He has held a longstanding position at the Savannah School of Art and Design as both a professor and dean of the School of the Fine Arts. Bliss has been in numerous solo exhibitions, including Nothing Gold Can Stay at La Galerie Pfriem, SCAD/Lacoste, (Lacoste, France, Oct. 2009), Boys: Captured and Directed at Pinnacle Gallery (Savannah, GA, Oct. 2006), and Photographic Constructions at Evans Gallery (Portland, ME, June 1991).
