Barron is an Atlanta-based artist and educator who specializes in photography and painting. She has earned her B.F.A. (1994) in Graphic Design from the University of Georgia, a M.A. (2007) in Photo Concentration from Georgia State University, and a M.F.A. (2013) in Photography from Savannah College of Art and Design. Her work has been exhibited in several solo exhibitions across the southeast including in Atlanta and Huntsville, as well as internationally at the Espacio Común, Panama City, Panama. Barron has also shown in many group exhibitions across the nation including at the Athens Center for Contemporary Art, the Atlanta Contemporary Art Center, Fe Gallery in Pittsburgh, PA, and Umbrella Gallery in New York, NY. Her work is included in several public and private collections including the The Four Seasons in Marrakesh, Morocco, The Marriott Courtyard in Nashville, TN, the March of Dimes Corporate Collection, and the APG Collectors Portfolio, as well as public works on the Atlanta Beltline. Barron has been awarded the “Emotions” Photo Annual Awards (2013) and Grant Candidate for the Panama Photography Pen Pals without Borders Proposal (2008).
