Rocío Rodríguez lives and works in Atlanta, GA. Her work has been exhibited in over thirty solo exhibitions in museums, contemporary art centers, and private art galleries and she has participated in over ninety nationally curated exhibitions. Ms. Rodríguez is the recipient of various, prestigious awards, the most recent of which was the 2018 ‘Anonymous was A Woman Award. In addition, she has earned an Artadia Award, a Cintas Fellowship, and an Affiliated Fellowship Residency at the American Academy in Rome. Rodríguez has also participated in residencies at the Marfa Contemporary in Marfa, Texas, and in Fundación Valparaiso in Mojacar, Spain. Her work is in numerous private and public national collections such as The High Museum of Art, the Huntsville Museum of Art, The New Orleans Museum of Art, the Columbus Museum of Art, the Fort Lauderdale Museum of Art, and The Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia. Recent reviews of her work have appeared in Art in America, Art Forum, artsatl.com, and burnaway.org. She is affiliated with the Sandler Hudson Gallery in Atlanta and Kathryn Markel Fine Arts in NYC. In 2019 Rocío Rodríguez: Thirty Years on Paper, a retrospective exhibition, was held at MOCA GA. Rodríguez received both her BFA and MFA from the University of Georgia.
