Robert Sherer studied drawing, printmaking and painting at Walker College, Atlanta College of Art, Georgia State University, and Rhode Island School of Design. He received his MFA from Edinboro University in Painting. The artist is currently an instructor at Kennesaw State University and regularly exhibits across the nation and abroad. Sherer has exhibited nationally and internationally for more than 30 years, including, but not limited to,  Birmingham, AL; New York, NY; San Marcos, TX; Providence, RI; Edinboro, PA; Barnwell, SC; Bantam, CT; New Orleans, LA; Paris, France; Munich, Germany; and Barcelona, Spain. In 2001, Sherer represented the USA in the Florence Biennale in Florence, Italy. In 2002, he represented the USA in the Triennale de Paris in Paris, France.
