Paul Hagedorn (b. 1956 in Manhasset, NY) lives and works in Atlanta, GA. In 2010, Hagedorn’s video and photographic series, Peachtree Battle: Imaginary War Games, was presented in Atlanta with a monograph and essay by the High Museum’s former Curator of Photography, Julian Cox. Hagedorn’s images of New York, Atlanta, and Western Europe challenge the way people see the familiar, taking inspiration from his former career in advertising and art direction. Paul Hagedorn’s work is included in the permanent collections of the High Museum of Art (Atlanta, GA), the Georgia Museum of Art (Athens, GA), and here at MOCA GA.
