A self-taught artist, Pam Moxley’s photographic concept is intertwined with mixed media. Her dramatic imagery is realized through her utilization of black and white gradation, along with sepia-toned images; seemingly simple in composition, her photos are entrenched in complexity. Moxley’s process for creating begins initially with the image, then layered with her own unique brand of mixed media; the result is a layered, textural effect trademarked by the artist. Her solo exhibitions include, the Atlanta Botanical Garden, Atlanta, GA and Grace Gallery, Marietta, GA. Moxley has also participated in various group exhibitions including, Atlanta Celebrates Photography, Atlanta, GA; Snapshots, the Arts Company, Nashville, TN and Three Voices, Jennifer Schwartz Gallery, Atlanta, GA. Moxley’s work is held in many private and public collections throughout the United States including the MOCA GA collection, the DeVos Collection, the Pinnacle Bank Collection, City of Atlanta collection, the APG collector’s portfolio, Blackbird Technologies, and the Southeast Museum of Photography. Her work has also been featured in films and national magazines such as Traditional Home, Décor and Harper’s Magazine.
