Marilyn Suriani has been a fine art and documentary photographer for more than 30 years. Her work is part of the permanent collections at MOCA GA and the High Museum of Art, as well as, a variety of corporate and private collections nationwide. Southern Trinities and images from Nocturnal Atlanta are permanent installations at Hartsfield Jackson International Airport. Suriani’s work has been exhibited extensively, and her images appeared in The Deep South exhibition at the Festival of Arles with such notables as William Eggleston, William Christenberry and Eudora Welty. Work from her ongoing Self-Portrait series was featured in MOCA GA’s 2005 exhibition Photography: MOCA GA @ SunTrust Plaza. Currently, Suriani is a workshop instructor at Serenbe Photography Center. She is working on various new techniques using a mixed media approach. The artwork exhibited here is from this new series.
