La Rosa has been an avid student and teacher of photography his entire life. Born in Peru, Fernando LaRosa was the founder and director of the first gallery exclusively dedicated to photography in South America. He has taught at the Parsons School in New York and is now teaching at Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia. He is the recipient of awards from the National Endowment for the Arts and has exhibited widely in the U.S. and Latin America. La Rosa earned an M.F.A. from Tulane University, New Orleans, LA, where he also taught as a Professor of Photography.
