Biography

“I enjoy creating art and continue to search for creative growth in my artwork. I love to be able to explore and experiment while creating. I am constantly searching for ways to express myself through my work. Landscapes have become my passion. Beauty can be found in nature and can lead one on a path to enlightenment and pleasure.”

Eleanor Neal was born in Gary, IN and graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Fine Art and a Master’s of Science Degree in Art Education. Neal has exhibited solo at Dillard University, New Orleans, LA, 2000 and at the State Capitol Exhibition for the National Black Arts Festival, Atlanta, GA. She currently teaches art while continuing to create new artwork.  Neal was awarded the Elizabeth Catlett Printmaking Award in the Hampton University Museum’s New Power Generation juried exhibition, 2008.
