Biography

Adams is an Atlanta-based artist who works in fine art photography and mixed media. She has a B.A. from the University of North Carolina in Journalism (1973) and has studied photography, printmaking and painting at the Atlanta College of Art and various other schools and workshops. Her works evoke an ethereal world of dreams, symbols and mystery. Adams counts Joseph Campbell, Joseph Cornell, Harry Callahan and Mike & Doug Starn among her influences. She has held solo exhibitions at Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and at Wing & A Prayer Studio. Her work is included in numerous collections, including MOCA GA, Hyatt Corporate Collection, IL, King & Spalding, GA, and  Kirkley & Payne, GA. Adams is co-founder of Atlanta Celebrates Photography (ACP), a nonprofit aimed at promoting and cultivating the photographic arts in Atlanta.
