Christian Bradley West is a self-taught artist, designer, and writer working in many mediums from photography and painting to textiles. Well known for his miniature drawings of found photographic imagery, as well as his turn of the century process photographs he is also equally known for his cross media explorations including sculpture, assemblage, and installation exploring themes of transmutation through intuition, meditation, and cognition. His art has been included in numerous exhibits from London to Houston, and he has been featured in New American Paintings twice and Interior Design Magazine for his textile collaborations with Solutia Inc. He designed carpet collections such as The Covet Collection, Lace It or Leave It, Pretty Concrete, and Fluid Terrain, a collaboration with designer Irena Peer, as well as many others while he worked for Karastan Contract. His work has been acquired by such museums as the High Museum and MOCA GA. He is also in numerous private collections including the Sir Elton John Photography collection. He has just finished and is editing his first novel and a book of poetry. West holds a degree in Exercise Science from Kennesaw State University. He was born and raised in Richmond, VA. He now calls Atlanta, GA home.
