“My motive is simple: I make photographs to stop time. My subjects are varied but the common thread is the moment and the gestures that are rushing away from me that can only be seen again in my pictures. With light, shapes and lines I hope to convey my moment and the story in it.”
Through his photography, Antonio Dabraio (b. 1958 in Caracas, Venezuela) aims to freeze each moment in time, eternally capturing the fleeting within his works. He has traveled extensively in Europe and the Americas, which can be seen throughout his work. He is a recipient of the APG/MOCA GA Virginia Twinam Smith Print Purchase Award in 2013. Dabraio’s work has been exhibited in the Barbara Griffin Selects and Jane Jackson Selects shows hosted by The Atlanta Photography Group in 2012 and 2013.
