Biography

Landesberg received her Master’s of Architecture from Yale University in 1991 after receiving both an M.V.A. from Georgia State University and a B.A. from the University of New Hampshire. In her twenty years of practice Landesberg has designed an unusually wide array of projects, including galleries, public and institutional buildings and various public art projects. Her design work has earned Awards from the Georgia Southern Atlantic Region Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. Her public art project Power Wrap, enclosure for an electrical sub-station, owned by Georgia Tech and Georgia Power, was recognized with an Award of Excellence by the Atlanta Urban Design Commission and was named by the Americans For the Arts Public Art Program Year-in-Review as one of the best among national public art projects for 2008. Landesberg has had over 20 solo exhibitions to her credit and has exhibited nationally and internationally. Landesberg has been a lecturer, visiting critic and jurist for Public Art Programs and Schools of Art and Architecture throughout the United States, and she has served recently served as co-chair of Atlanta’s Metropolitan Public Art Coalition. The Veneers project was awarded though a national competition organized by The Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport Art Program. In addition to Amy Landesberg Art & Design, Inc. the project team includes Stability Engineering, Shatone, and Factory Glass Direct.
