Biography

Professor of Art at Oglethorpe University, Alan Loehle received a B.F.A., from the University of Arizona and an M.F.A. from The University of Georgia. His areas of interests are figurative art, abstraction and contemporary issues in visual art; he continually explores with his students ongoing series of paintings and drawings. Loehle is a Guggenheim Fellow for painting, 2007; Visual Arts Fellow from the National Endowment for the Arts and grant recipient of the Ludwig Vogelstein Foundation and the Pollack-Krasner Foundation. He is also published in the Paris Review.
