The Georgia 7 presented seven emerging, Georgia artists.

The Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia (MOCA GA), in its continued effort to support artists of the state of Georgia, put out a call for submissions in early 2004 for an exhibition of the work of emerging artists. The Museum received over 300 submissions from artists throughout the state of Georgia. Director and Co-Founder Annette Cone-Skelton selected Radcliffe Bailey (Georgia Artist), Joey Orr (Founder and Curator of ShedSpace) and Amy Parry (Independent Curator) as exhibition curators. According to Cone-Skelton, “My only criterion was that the exhibit contain no more than seven artists. I did not think a large group show would make a significant enough impact on the careers of these young artists.”
