Wes Eastin has over eight years of experience in the world of video and film production as both crew and content producer. His experience resides specifically with writing, editing, camera operation, grip/electric, DIT and strategy. Having grown up in Atlanta, GA, Wes became a part of the film production and landscape development of the city. Working for such groups as: Turner Broadcasting, CBS Sports, Georgia Public Broadcasting, and Care, he’s garnered a wide variety of experience in both production and post-production, alike. While in Atlanta, Eastin also took part in a variety of public art exhibitions with his frequent collaborator, Stefani Byrd. These works are a hybrid of video and performance art, intended to draw the viewer into interactive engagement. He has received grants and support from groups such as: Creative Capital of New York, Flux Projects, the InLight Richmond Festival, Atlanta Celebrates Photography, and Idea Capital. The exhibits have been featured in such places as: the Public Art Review Magazine, the Huffington Post, the Atlanta Journal Constitution, and Art Papers Magazine.
Pieces of his collaborative works are held in the permanent collections of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia, Atlanta, GA and the Columbus Museum of Art, Columbus, OH. His work has been featured on: The Independent Film Channel (IFC), CBS Sports, and Funny or Die. Wes Eastin’s combined experience led him to Los Angeles, CA in the summer of 2014, where he is currently pursuing a career in film/television production.
