“My motive is simple: I make photographs to stop time. My subjects are varied but the common thread is the moment and the gestures that are rushing away from me that can only be seen again in my pictures. With light, shapes and lines I hope to convey my moment and the story in it.”
Recipient of the APG/MOCA GA Virginia Twinam Smith Print Purchase Award in 2013, Dabraio’s photographic techniques and imagery freeze each moment in time uniquely. His ability to transport viewers and connect imagery to a single moment is witnessed throughout Dabraio’s collection. With recent exhibitions hosted by The Atlanta Photography Group in 2012 and 2013, Barbara Griffin Selects and Jane Jackson Selects, Antonio Dabraio’s goal of simplicity weaved through moments of time, captures life through his timely lens.
