Miecznikowski

2017/2018 Working Artist Project

This round of Working Artist Project was curated by Joey Orr, the Andrew W. Mellon Curator for Research at the Spencer Museum of Art, University of Kansas.

About the Exhibition

Miecznikowski is a colorful and texturally playful installation that touches on identity and the interruption of atmosphere. Entombment and weightlessness question tradition and the body. Miecznikowski fantasizes a Polish narrative from the Middle Ages while highlighting a goofball blue-collar immigration to the south.
