Cheryl Goldsleger

Cheryl Goldsleger studied at the Tyler School of Art, Temple University, Rome, Italy, completing her BFA at the Philadelphia College of Art, and her MFA at Washington University in St. Louis. She has taught currently on at the School of Art and Design at Georgia State University. Artist residencies have included the La Napoule Foundation, La Napoule, France and a US/France Exchange Fellowship at the Cite Internationale des Arts in Paris.  She regularly exhibits her work throughout the United States, including A Time to Build, A Time to Tear Down at Frederieke Taylor Gallery in New York City in October/November of 2007 and in Intelligent Design at Cumberland Gallery in Nashville, Tennessee in January 2008. Solo exhibitions have been held at the National Academy of Sciences in Washington, DC and the Moody Gallery at University of Alabama. She is represented in major public and private collections including The Brooklyn Museum, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, The High Museum, Albright Knox Gallery, The Fogg Museum at Harvard University, the Tel Aviv Museum and the Israel Museum among many others. Her 2003 MOCA GA exhibition, Utopia traveled to the National Academy of Sciences in Washington, DC, and the Morris Museum of Art in Augusta, GA. Goldsleger was also featured as one of twenty-seven artists in the recent Georgia Council for the Arts publication: “Georgia Masterpieces: Selected Works from Georgia Museums” and the MOCA GA exhibition it inspired, Twenty Georgia Masters.
